Sex education: is it relevant and useful?
Sexual health education often doesn’t focus on the issues that young people really face in day to day life – such as pornography, LGBT sex and the increased risks associated with alcohol and drugs. Sex and relationships education (SRE) should be inclusive, engaging, and useful. It often isn't which is why we created STI Wars to offer an open, honest platform for young people to discuss safe sex.
We are launching STI Wars with an Indiegogo crowd-funding campaign. Visit our Indiegogo site by following the link here or click on the INDIEGOGO buttons at the top of the page. Check out our exclusive perks and be the first to get STI Wars with a significant discount!
Let’s talk about sex
Games help create a relaxed atmosphere, where people are more open to honest discussions about sexual activity and sexual health. STI Wars is a fun battle card game for young people aged 13 and over, which lets them talk about sexual health, STIs and the risks they might face. There’s no pressure, no judgement, and no “wrong answer”. It also removes the tension and embarrassment that can occur when adults try to initiate these discussions with young people.
Combat realistic sexual health risks
STI Wars addresses the risks that young people can face in everyday life. It challenges players to avoid STIs by eliminating Risks Cards and fighting back with Prevention Cards! If you make risky decisions in the game you’ll catch an STI, and if you stay safe you'll earn rewards!
